The Joy of Serving Others
Welcome, everyone! Today, I want to share a brief message on the profound joy and purpose that comes from serving others. In a world that often encourages us to focus on ourselves, the call to serve is a beautiful reminder of the heart of our faith.
The Example of Jesus
Let’s look to Jesus, our ultimate example. In Mark 10:45, we read, “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Jesus modeled a life of service, demonstrating that true greatness is found in humility and selflessness. He washed the feet of His disciples, healed the sick, and fed the hungry. Each act was a testament to His love and compassion.
The Call to Serve
As followers of Christ, we are called to do the same. Serving others is not just an act; it’s a lifestyle. In Galatians 5:13, Paul encourages us, saying, “Serve one another humbly in love.” When we serve others, we reflect God’s love and grace in tangible ways. It’s through our acts of kindness that we can make a significant impact in our community and beyond.
